5 Things I Believe In Using For Teaching

1. Team Effort
One thing that I have always found to work for 99% of people, is working with other people on projects. Playing baseball at Faith thought me a lot of things and this is the main one, that sometimes you need help to succeed. I believe students should work together and groups and help one another navigate through school projects and also learning about each other to help a friendship begin.
2. Podcast
Podcast are such a marvelous things. They don't take very long to make and they are great for teaching a class lecture, if you know that you will not be in class a day. They are also great for students to, because they can find lectures that they miss on the library in iTunes.
3. Blogging For Students
This year I have done a lot of blogging and it has thought me that our world is growing so quick that it is hard to catch up. Also, that our education methods are moving towards a technological method. In this experience I have seen how some teachers incorporate this into their classes and I love it. I believe in having a class blog for the students and their parents. So, the students can check the blog to see if they missed any homework and they would have access to the podcast if they missed a lecture.
4. Encouragement
I believe all students deserve positive encouragement for the work they do. I believe that ones that give teachers a little more trouble need the most encouragement to help them strive to be the best they can be. Students take everything to heart a teacher says and if it is positive the student will want more things positive said about them.
5. Learning Together
I believe that teachers can still learn things in today's society. There are some things that students know now that teachers did not know back then. I think it is a great example to students if we show them that we are willing to learn things from them, if they are willing to learn things from us.

About Me

As of right now, I am a sophomore at the University of South Alabama. I am majoring in secondary education history. I went to high school at Faith Academy and played baseball there for many years. I have learned many things there that I will cherish forever and use in my teaching. I love playing sports like baseball, softball, and football. I am a big Alabama fan and will be to the day that I die. The reason that I chose history was, because I am a history nerd. I love studying things from the past and learning from there mistakes. The time period in history I love the most is the Romans and their mythology.
